I can see both sides of the argument for Laura Kuenssberg’s twitter account problem. She’s moving from the BBC’s Political new team to ITV’s Business team. But her Twitter account, which she is naturally highly and personally identified with, was @BBCLauraK. Yes, that might need to be something else when she gets to ITV. Even though ITV have made sure to get the account @ITVLauraK the question is this. Should Kuesnsberg simply rename her existing account and allow people following her to keep following her, or should she start again from scratch because people were actually following the BBC through

Jim “Duke Nukem” Redner tells us when blacklisting isn’t blacklisting

You might recall he tweeted last week around the poor Duke Nukem Forever reviews that he was blacklisting “bad” reviewers, with the implicity nudge that “good” reviewers would be okay. BBC pilots in-vision text commentary… Eurovision potential?

Something very interesting at the BBC Backstage labs from last week, an interface that takes textual content (in this example from an IRC application) and overlays the messages onto a live TV show via a set-top box. There’s a demonstration video on the process running overlaid on BBC News (you can view it here), but I know exactly where the BBC should be using this… for an in-vision Eurovision commentary track! Anyone fancy working on a hack at Over the Air?
