Some of my thoughts on the cost of the Fringe over at Dale & Co: If you repeat a lie often enough, then people will start to believe it. Assembly leave The Assembly Rooms as The Stand move in.

This should make things fun. Salt ‘n’ Sauce Promotions, who own The Stand Comedy Club in Edinburgh, will be leasing The Assembly Rooms for the Edinburgh Fringe from 2012, reports The Stage. Assembly, who were the existing tenants, are moving to George Square this year, and won’t be in The Assembly Rooms this year, or the next. While the lawyers are likely sharpening their quills, I’d love to hear what Jason Byrne and Adam Hills would make of this in the Assembly’s Gala Opening show.
