Possibly because it was pitched as a PS4-only game, the hype passed me by. I’m all caught up now – thanks to Paul Tassi’s profile, and this interview with the lead developer from Game Informer. Damn, if this is as good as it looks, i might have to succumb and get a PS4.
Everyone seemed to enjoy the first ‘Trivial Posts’ from last week, so let’s do it again . The common refrain is that younger music fans are turning away from Radio 1 and getting their new music from online sources as sa YouTube, Spotify, and Soundcloud. Which is why I raised my eyebrow at this Guardian article where Nadio Khomami sits in with a bunch of managers sitting around a room, pouring over statistics from YouTube, Spotify, Facebook likes, and Twitter shares to power the Radio 1 playlist. Oh the irony.
Gamasutra on the XBox One and where it is targeted at: It is my belief that the Xbox One is primarily a device designed so corporations can have relationships with each other: Comcast and Microsoft and Activision Blizzard and the NFL. It is a device created by a company that venerates the creation of devices, and will come packed with services that sound good to companies that like to sell services to attractive demographic targets.
