Been a rather arts and crafts day today, and I finally got around to sorting out some paper models, specifically Tubbypaws’ papercraft Ceiling Cat… Meow, everyone loves lolcats, so here’s a happy paper fun model of the omnipresent, forever watchful, ceiling cat. The Delightfully Subversive and Entertaining Enchanted

As the family and I strolled up to the local cinema to watch the latest Disney film, Enchanted, I cast my mind back to the numerous ‘Saturday Matinees’ my Dad would take me to every weekend afternoon. Looking back now, these were a mix of classic films, lots of action, and just the sort of male family fun the world needs more of. Christmas 2006 saw everyone pitch in for a Playstation Portable for my Dad, and since then he’s been working through Tomb Raider (and finsihed it at the end of Feb). One of the other things that I showed him was how to get DVD’s onto the PSP (which resulted in him ripping “Snakes on a Plane” to watch the plane to Cyprus in Feb). Denmark, Here I Come

Wasn’t really going to blog about the long weekend to Denmark (leaving in a few hours) but my visit seems to have caused a stir in Copenhagen. I’ll be attending a bloggers brunch tomorrow (Saturday) at 11am, Café Elvira on Østerfælled Torv 24-26, København Ø. Love the name, BTW. Henriette’s organising my attendance, and I;ve been told a little speech / presentation might be needed from me. In which case I’ll ask you (the audience) which area you want to talk about. To Denmark!!! (and through Airport ‘security’ check in… Will let you know how that goes…)

Almost settled into the new house – if you want the new postal address please drop me an email (ewanspence@gmail.com), but the most important thing is that Telewest has fitted the broadband, and the new cable box is the Telewest TV Drive (a Tivo style personal video recorder). And that means… …the first thing I did when it was plugged in was set it up to tape every episode of The Daily Show for the rest of time. Got to sort out the basics first.
