The UK Security Forces change out the red terrorist lightbulb
Good news! We’re no longer under "severe" threat of terrorism in the UK… just "substantial". Which naturally still sounds scary. If you want to feel calm, then we’re at level three out of five, where we were at level two yesterday.
I’m not sure what level one is – it might be "guess what, there really are terrorists"?
This is why the U.S. Department of Homeland Security did away with the color-coded Homeland Security Advisory System (HSAS) and replaced it with the National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS). Sadly, the NTAS isn’t much more helpful. We have to “remain at a heightened level of vigilance” at all times.
