He seemd to be very close to saying “why are you queuing for an iPhone, when you can have something better like this N95 now”, but he didn’t, so it comes across as an in-joke, a bit like interviewing people queuing outside Skoda showroom whilst you’ve got a set of Ferrari keys in your pocket.
