Good for Cory. It&#8217;s a scary step, because even when you reckon you&#8217;ve got solid income there&#8217;s still a little edge of danger to it. <\/p>\n<p>What I can say is I did the same thing back in August 2004, and have never looked back. It&#8217;s a better quality of life, it&#8217;s much more flexible, and doing something you love makes working worthwhile. I&#8217;d recommend it to everyone. Of course it&#8217;s always an easy decision to make when you have a good website with advertising behind you (in Cory&#8217;s case Boing Boing &#8211; in my case All About Symbian), and you have other sources of income from a back catalouge of novels, but there&#8217;s still that final step to take &#8211; rather like a bungee jump.
