American Airlines AAdvantage frequent flier program just emailed me to let me know that I&#8217;ve been awarded &#8220;Gold&#8221; status. Which is nice, I thought, but what do I actually get for that? The PDF they supplied nice, but after <a href=\"http:\/\/members.shaw.ca\/fewmiles\/AA\/recht\/gold.html\">some googling<\/a>, I&#8217;m more than happy now with what I have till Feb 28th in 2007.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Flight Booking<\/strong><br \/>\nPriority phone line &#8211; Access to the AAdvantage Gold Hot Line for fast service<br \/>\nPriority seating &#8211; On AA flights, elites have access to seats blocked off as &#8220;premium&#8221; seating (e.g. bulkhead, exit rows).
