Over the next few weeks, I&#8217;ll be doing some opinion columns on the latter around the Fringe &#8211; and the first one is now posted:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The Edinburgh Fringe is under way, with over 2500 shows from some 41,000 performers all crammed into the rain lashed Scottish capital. From now until the end of August they&#8217;ll take to the stage every night, hoping that in those huge numbers, they&#8217;ll find enough of an audience to make it worthwhile.
