Really? Err&#8230; what counts as sensitive? Nick Ut&#8217;s picture of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Nick_Ut\">Phan Kim Phuc from Vietnam<\/a>?\u00a0William Shatner singing &#8220;Common People&#8221;? Today&#8217;s Page 3 girl from The Sun?\u00a0A Youtube clip of 21st\u00a0century\u00a0Tom and Jerry where they&#8217;re best of friends and talking to each other? Paradise Towers? How about a link to\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2009\/07\/14\/in-our-inbox-hundreds-of-confidential-twitter-documents\/\">some confidential documents about Twitter<\/a>\u00a0itself? What about promoted tweets?<\/p>\n<p>Take a more historical example, the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jyllands-Posten_Muhammad_cartoons_controversy\">Jyllands-Posten Mohammad cartoon<\/a>. That&#8217;s very\u00a0sensitive\u00a0to some people, hilarious to others, and fair comment in other spheres.<\/p>\n<p>So who decides? How is this going to work, because trust and judgement in the case of users is not going to be a viable option, and community standards only apply when you have a cohesive community &#8211; let&#8217;s be honest Twitter is far from cohesive and means different things to different people.<\/p>\n<p>Or is this all window dressing so that American advertisers can be reassured that their advert won&#8217;t appear next to a link to a Goat.se picture?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Twtter is going to let you mark up so others can see a\u00a0sensitive\u00a0content flag beside tweets.
