The Archduke Ferdinand seems to have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ewanspence.co.uk\/blog\/2009\/08\/14\/probably-my-favourite-tweet-so-far-about-the-fringe-podcast\/\">this innocent tweet<\/a> from a listener:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>The Guardian vs The Stage Edinburgh Fringe podcasts. The Stage&#8217;s wins hands down I&#8217;m afraid.&#160; <a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/benmorrisillo\/statuses\/3304272926\">@benmorrisillo<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Guardian team had their reply ready: \u201cThis means podcast war! We won\u2019t go down without a fight!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To which of course the only playground reply is \u201cmy Dad\u2019s bigger than your Dad.\u201d Which The Stage promptly did <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestage.co.uk\/features\/feature.php\/25294\/chit-chat-space-wars\">in their Chit-Chat column<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Tabard\u2019s completely unbiased view is that The Stage\u2019s podcast is at least a million zillion gazillion times better than the Guardian\u2019s. <\/p>\n<p>And our dads could have their dads, as well. So, there.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Was there a follow up? You betcha!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Thought you guys at The Stage could keep our little podcast skirmish private. [Obviously] not.
