{"id":2239,"date":"2009-05-25T12:59:08","date_gmt":"2009-05-25T12:59:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ewanspence.com\/blog\/2009\/05\/25\/how-to-get-tickets-for-the-eurovision-song-contest\/"},"modified":"2009-05-25T13:00:53","modified_gmt":"2009-05-25T13:00:53","slug":"how-to-get-tickets-for-the-eurovision-song-contest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewanspence.co.uk\/blog\/2009\/05\/how-to-get-tickets-for-the-eurovision-song-contest\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Get Tickets For the Eurovision Song Contest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A question I\u2019ve asked by a few people over the last week or so is \u201chow can I get to next year\u2019s Eurovision Song Contest?\u201d Some of them have been above board, some have come in quiet back channels where their love of Eurovision can\u2019t be traced back to them (you know who you are!) but it\u2019s cropped up enough times that the best place for me to answer this is in a blog post.<\/p>\n<p>In almost every case I would recommend you join the Official Eurovision Fan Club that has branches around the world, <a href=\"http:\/\/ogae.net\/\"><em>The Organisation Generale des Amateurs de l\u2019Eurovision<\/em><\/a>. As well as branches in every Eurovision country there is also a \u201cRest of the World\u201d branch for anyone missing. <\/p>\n<p>They will be able to discuss tickets closer to the event, act as your primary contact to buy them, and of course make sure you\u2019re slap bang in the middle of a large group of like minded travelling fans when you get there.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets should also be available through the official site <a href=\"http:\/\/wwww.eurovision.tv\/\">Eurovision.tv<\/a> closer to the event, and don\u2019t forget tickets are sold not just for the live shows but for the three dress rehearsals of each semi final and final as well. Tickets for the Moscow shows in 2009 started at around 20 Euros and rising to 650 Euros for the live shows, and 7-40 Euros for the dress rehearsals.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s very likely that the concert will be in Norway in 2010, and it\u2019s likely to be in Oslo. As with any trip, once the venue is announced there\u2019ll be a scramble for hotels close by to whichever venue is chosen.
