The coverage is breaking down into roughly four areas, and all of them have a different tone and aim. I thought I\u2019d go over them while \u2018in situ.\u2019<\/p>\n<p><strong>Blogging at The Stage<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Although informal, these still have a tone of authority, and a decidedly pro-British viewpoint. probably the closest to the traditional view of \u2018reporting.\u2019 Al the coverage can <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.thestage.co.uk\/tvtoday\/programmes\/eurovision\/\">be found here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Various Individual Articles<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two that are public with my name on them include the <a href=\"http:\/\/politicalbetting.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/what-about-voting-on-eurovision-night.html\">Political Betting Guide<\/a> and All <a href=\"http:\/\/www.allaboutsymbian.com\/features\/item\/Your_S6-_Smartphone_and_the_Eurovision_Song_Contest.php\">About Symbian\u2019s Guide to Eurovision on your Smartphone<\/a>. There are a few others not yet published which I\u2019ll link to here if i can.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Downloadable Commentaries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A little experiment, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ewanspence.co.uk\/blog\/2009\/05\/12\/download-my-commentary-mp3-for-the-first-eurovision-2009-semi-final\/\">providing an MP3 you can play at home while watching the semi-finals and finals<\/a>. This is reasonably neutral, with little bias towards any country. For those of you who grew up with Wogan it might be a bit too \u2018factual\u2019 for you but the reaction via email today from those who used it was good.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Twitter Commentary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now you all seemed to like this, and it defiantly had more sarcasm and wit than I thought it would \u2013 but when the Eurovision host is doing his best to be Matt Berry (<em>The IT Crowd, Darkplace<\/em>), and you have a pink inflatable tank on stage, what can you do\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also great (and a touch humbling) to read tweets like:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><a href=\"mailto:LucieSmith@ewanspence\">LucieSmith<\/a>@<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ewanspence\">ewanspence<\/a><\/strong> can&#8217;t wait to see Thursday&#8217;s show &#8211; you make it sound amazing!!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"mailto:squawkbox@ewanspence\">squawkbox<\/a> @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ewanspence\">ewanspence<\/a><\/strong> Thanks for coverage, sadly we only saw 5 seconds of Tatu due to BBC Three doing their own thing.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/owenblacker\">owenblacker<\/a><\/strong> So, @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/bbceurovision\">bbceurovision<\/a>, why is it Graham Norton when both Paddy and @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ewanspence\">ewanspence<\/a> would be *much* more entertaining? :o)<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/digitalmaverick\">digitalmaverick<\/a><\/strong> Grrr I meant c&#8217;mon BBC sign up @<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ewanspence\">ewanspence<\/a> to do a Twitter feed or vocal commentary from #eurovision<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/scottm\">scottm<\/a><\/strong> Loving Paddy O&#8217;Connell on the #eurovision commentary.
