I think they deserve repeating here.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<b>1.<\/b> A clear objective that is desirable to realise nationally.<br \/>\n<b>2.<\/b> The means and the will to realise this objective militarily.<br \/>\n<b>3.<\/b> The ability to ground the recourse to force legally.<br \/>\n<b>4.<\/b> The ability to defend that course of action at home and abroad, morally.<\/p>\n<p>I wonder how many of these we can truthfully say yes to?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An article in one of last week&#8217;s papers details a quote from &#8216;Monty&#8217; as to his pre-requisites for war.
