Speaking at the Scottish Social Media Dinner

This Wednesday I’m through in Glasgow as one of the speakers at this month’s Scottish Social Media Dinner. The topic is podcasting, and the three speakers are described as: Ewan Spence – who does podcasts on music, gaming, The Edinburgh Fringe and, IIRC, The Eurovision Song Contest and builds up really good audiences for them all on the way. The Glasgow Podcart team who who produce – at not for profit – some of the most diverse and exciting podcasts in Scotland. But the main attraction is going to Mark Gillespie who is a one-man band producing the phenomenal WhiskyCast.

I’m Speaking at Le Web (when you’re all listening to The Doctor)

No sooner is one trip over, than the planning for the next one starts. Thanks to some planning over the summer, I was already looking at a December’s trip to attend Le Web 2008 was already in the final stages. Loic and Geraldine have announced this year’s program, although it’s always worth pointing out that there’s a lot of people in the team that sort out these programs. I’ll be speaking on the panel “Love In Motion – Mobile Ubiquity and Social Networks,” alongside Dr Lai Kok Fung (Buzzcity) and Antonio Vince Staybl (itsmy.com), with Ferhan Cook (Any Screen Productions)
