Nokia and Microsoft, one shall live only while the other lives as well

By myself, over on All About Windows Phone: Any reading of Nokia’s current situation in the smartphone world will always include dire warnings of what could befall the Finnish company if Microsoft turn round and do something “evil”. If you are to believe anyone commenting on the Internet, all Nokia then needs to do is say “we are switching to Android” and all will be well for the Finnish company. Nobody ever stops to consider what would happen to Microsoft if that scenario was to happen.

Have we lost the Human factor online (and no I’m not talking about the Evil of the Daleks, but if anyone in Zimbabwe would care to look for the tapes…)? Two discrete data points today and an experience from my time in the US leads me to think that the next big change online could not be in how we relate to data, but how we relate to people. Why SXSW Film Does Not Suck for the Press

Hmmm, not sure what to make of Hollywood Blogger Jeffrey Wells attack on the organisation of SXSW Film. Pointed out by SXSW Baby, his blog post has three main points that say more about him than the Austin festival. There are no press screenings. The movies mostly suck.
