The road not taken with the Nokia N9

Somewhere, in an alternative universe, the analysts, media, press, bloggers and fans would have given Nokia another 12 months grace to let them get Meego out in millions of units, and given it a fair crack of the whip: MeeGo Harmattan, unlike so many other OSes, is not shallow; the user experience goes all the way to the core. It has soul. It absolutely deserves to stay on the market in some form, even if WP7 becomes Nokia’s primary smartphone platform. Alas, theĀ realitiesĀ of business get in the way of the geekerati’s cutting edge.
