Digital advertising growth now exceeds the drop in print advertising

Unfortunately (a) digital is starting from a much smaller base, so in raw terms it’s still tens of millions behind print; and (b) it’s for the Daily Mail website. Daily Mail throws down iPhone gauntlet with ABC numbers for their app

It brings on a range of emotions in people, but you can’t argue with the audited numbers of Daily Mail readers, as the publisher today becomes the first to release an audited readership number for their mobile app. ABC have audited 168,507 users of their iPhone application (with a daily readership of around 62,000). Yes, because ideological rival The Daily Mail is whacking them hand over fist on the internet, and The Guardian know it.
