My name is Ewan Spence and I am a storyteller.

As a BAFTA nominated broadcaster I have worked with a wide range of organisations from mainstream broadcasters (including SBS and the BBC), through national stations, and at local and community levels. I was Scotland's first podcaster in 2005, and continue to host and produce groundbreaking shows to this day.

As a writer I focus on the cross-section of technology, media, and human nature for Forbes. As a freelancer I cover technology and social media topics as well as arts, culture, and music.

I'm also one of the leading journalists covering The Eurovision Song Contest, providing commentary, coverage, and punditry. Since 2014 I have been the producer and commentator for the United Kingdom's broadcast of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I write about the Contest at ESC Insight.

I currently live in Edinburgh, and while I travel a lot, I have every intention of living here for the rest of my life.

My blog can be found here.It has been many things over many years, right now I am writing about podcasting, but you'll find a history of articles, weblinks, quotes, thoughts, and memories.

You'll find me online on various services, including Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, and Mastodon.

Here's how to get in touch with me.
